Course Overview
This is an intricately designed six-week online short research methods course, mainly focussing on the action-oriented and intentional use of qualitative methods rather than the mainstream conservative ideology of qualitative research. Through this course, the participants are expected to understand the importance of qualitative methods within the broader context of research methods, the selection of the appropriate qualitative design for a particular research question and the actual application of each qualitative design on ground or in policy. This course also emphasizes the different participatory methods and ethical considerations involved, strategies for programmatic understanding and improvement, qualitative research designs that center service user and provider perspectives on the ground and qualitative research designs to impact systems or policy.
